Cowboy Bebop — The Music

Apparently Cowboy Bebop was trending on Twitter a day or two ago (someone should’ve screenshotted that for me!) and it reminded me how wonderful that series really is. To withstand 13 years and have people proclaim it as the greatest anime of all time, something has to be right. And everything about it really is right. The characters, the direction, the art, and most importantly: the music. If Yokko Kano wasn’t a part of the series and someone else was in charge of the music, that seriously would’ve ruined the entire tone that is Cowboy Bebop.

About a year ago, I realized that nearly all the songs pay homage to music songs and styles. So, I came up with a playlist so you can actually “listen” to the episodes. I even included the movie, “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door” to the list. My eureka moment came while I was listening to “Hard Luck Woman” nonstop (curse you Paul Stanley and Peter Criss for making a pretty song!).

Cowboy Bebop is hands down my favorite anime. Which, by the way, has anyone else heard any more information on a live action project for it or did that die after the very bad live action movie that was supposedly based on Dragonball?

  1. Cowboy Bebop is total love. My best friend discovered anime with it and loves it has her favorite to this day. xD

I love the music the most about the show, that is for sure.

  2. I’ve never actually heard of that anime. I don’t watch so much anime or read so much manga though. Just One Piece, D Gray Man, Naruto, Vampire Knight, Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist. I really do like anime music though. I love soundtracks!

I’m not going to Korea for vacation actually. I’m going with my friend to volunteer for some English-teaching thing. In fact my mom wants me to work even more so I have no idea if I’ll get to see the cool Korean sights. =/
