Who doesn’t like freebies, right? I’m going through and tweaking the way my individual book pages are presented. At one point, you used to have to click on a link that led you to a chapter excerpt that I provided on my blog as a teaser before a launch. I’ve decided to do away with that. Reading long excerpts of text doesn’t give me the flexibility to present it in a pleasing fashion that’s easy on the eyes.
I have signed up to Scribd under my press’ name and will be providing excerpts on there. The beauty of it is I can then use an embed code to place the excerpts on my website.
So go forth and read!
With Musings from Yesteryear, I included bonus stories that are only available in the print edition. Unless you happen to find me at the Farmer’s Market, you won’t be able to get your hands on these stories and I didn’t want to deny my readers the chance to read them. This way, you can get a taste of the kinds of short stories and flash fiction that are included in the actual anthology.
The Chosen has a seven chapter excerpt. If you’re the type who likes to read a few chapters before deciding on whether or not to purchase a book, you now have seven chapters to come up with a decision. Is my book for you or not?
The Number is the only book that currently doesn’t have an excerpt on its page, but will sometime today or tomorrow. Enjoy the new feature. 🙂
Edit: I just realized that Jetpack added new share buttons (finally!). So you can now Pin and Tumble every single post or page to your heart’s desire.
